I have read many good reviews and when I decided to take my daughter out for a nice dinner this was my first thought. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed in my visit. The tuna picadillo (YOU MUST ORDER THIS! MOUTH WATERING!)the eggplant (FANTASTIC!) The masitas (sauce was phenomenal) and a couple we tried the first time and loved. Ordered the rest of the day tapa's we didn't try the first round. Even with that said, it won't stop me from going back for seconds, thirds and so on! AS AN ITALIAN I DIDNT ENJOY THIS NEW TYPE OF CHEESE INSTEAD OF TRADITIONAL) baked goat cheese with red pepper sauce (VERY TASTY) and, I saved the best for last, the salmon carpaccio (ANOTHER ABSOLUTE MUST ORDER! MY DATE DOESN'T EAT FISH.HE HAD THREE OF THESE! THEY WERE SOO AMAZING!)I would have 100% given 5 stars but the service was lacking. Stuffed plumbs (an ABSOLUTE MUST ORDER THEY WERE BEYOND DELICIOUS), croquettes (AHH, OK), mussels with the salsa Verde (VERY SMALL, COLD, HAVE HAD BETTER), stuffed artichokes (WOULDN'T ORDER AGAIN. I have driven past a thousand times, would have NEVER guessed what treasures were hidden behind the bland, unnoticeable entrance. My date suggested this restaurant after it was reviewed as the #1 dining spot in FM. Personally, this was my first time and last time at Bruno's of Brooklyn. Hopefully by doing that, they'll find in their hearts to treat their customers with better service. One Prosecco, one glass of wine, salad, fried calamari, Penne alla Bruno and cheese ravioli with their famous meatballs came to a total of $100 plus we left them a 20 percent tip just to kill them with kindness. They didn't ask us if we wanted dessert even though we weren't going to order anything else after this abysmal meal. We commented that she doesn't drink wine but vapes which could be detrimental for her health. While we were eating, we noticed the same lady going to another corner of the restaurant to vape. The food was just ok and I found their famous meatballs to be on the dry side. The presentation of the food also left a lot to desire. Our entire dinner was delivered to our table in record time of 30 minutes. We took a few bites of our entrees and we decided to ask for a go to box as we had completely lost our appetites. She proceeded to place them on the other side of the table and walked away. We were in the middle of eating our calamari when a different waitress delivered our entrees. Our salad took 35 minutes to arrive our table and 10 minutes later a waitress came with our fried calamari. We would've been ok had she sought someone else's recommendations but she didn't. We found that response shocking especially we were at an Italian restaurant. We proceeded to ask her what type of wine would be best paired with the Penne alla Bruno dish and she flat out responded with a very bad tone of voice she doesn't drink wine and she couldn't recommend any wine. Once we finally had our table ready 8:15pm, a lady came to our table to ask us if we wanted to have something to drink. We decided it would be better to sit outside even though it was very hot and humid. Our reservation was for 8:00pm inside but when we arrived the restaurant was packed and extremely loud probably due to its size. I had dinner at Bruno's of Brooklyn last weekend and I have to say their customer service is the worst I have experienced in any restaurant I have ever been to.
